Aspinwall Hill
Aspinwall Hill is a lovely residential neighborhood in Brookline. With Fisher Hill to the west, Harvard Street to the east, Beacon Street and Corey Hill to the north and Route 9 to the south, Aspinwall Hill is one of the most popular areas of town. Bearing the name of one of the oldest Brookline families, the roughly 87 acres offers a mix of elegant single-family homes, spacious multi-family homes and comfortable condos. Beaconsfield Terraces, also known as the “castle buildings,” were built in the late 1880’s and 90’s, and were originally constructed as a precursor to today’s modern condominium units. Aspinwall Hill and the adjoining Beaconsfield neighborhood offer a great variety of housing on quiet, shady streets that are within easy reach of public transportation. Most homes in this area feed into the John D. Runkle School or the Pierce School.
